Please note delivery cost will be added to your order once your delivery country has been entered. Heavy goods such as safes can result in a delivery charge up to £50 depending on your location. Delivery to both Northern and Southern Ireland is £15.00. For countries further afield delivery costs will be displayed once your country has been chosen at the address stage of the checkout process. May of London Ltd can only deliver goods to you in an approximate period. We will always endeavour to dispatch your items within 72 hours however product availability can vary. All goods will be sent to the address given by you which can be seen in your Order Confirmation email. We aim to get your goods to you within 3-7 working days but some products have specific delivery requirement which may extend delivery time-scales. Please see individual product pages for more information. If for some reason parcels are required to be redirected then a new additional charge of £7.95 will be incurred (where applicable). Also if goods are refused or not called for a charge of £7.95 will also be incurred. This list is not a full and exhaustive list and other reasons may apply. Please note that your goods may be sent to you in instalments as availability of products can vary. For example certain products have specific delivery requirements which are explained below. “Where firearms/shotguns/air weapons are paid for in full, unless collected from our premises will only be sent to your nearest registered firearms dealer for collection by yourself. Please note that unless you have all of the correct and legal documents these goods will not be transferred to you in any way shape or form”
Free delivery only applies to the UK Mainland. For example Northern Ireland and the channel islands are exempt from this offer. Certain safes also exclude the northern territories of Scotland. Please see products for more information.
These are usually items we stock in our shop. If you would like to purchase the item in person then please call ahead to make sure the we have this item in stock before travelling. Items will normally arrive within 3-5 working days depending on availability.
These products are dispatched direct from the manufacturer on behalf of May of London. In most cases they will arrive separately to any other items you have ordered. Please see the individual product pages for specific delivery estimates as each manufacturer will use a different courier. These are products which aren’t always kept in stock or are tailor made. Special Order Items can have extended delivery time-scales so for more information please see the individual product pages for specific delivery estimates.
These are usually items that are going to be out of stock for a number of weeks or are in short supply. By purchasing a Pre-Order Item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. As soon as the item is back in stock yours will be dispatched within 48 hours where possible. Please see individual product pages for current back in stock dates. In rare occasions these dates can be changed by the manufacturers so we recommend staying in contact with our Exeter branch once a month depending on the product lead time.
These items normally require Identification (Passport) or a firearms / Shotgun certificate before they are handed over. Shotguns, Rifles, Airguns and Moderators are usually good examples. When purchasing a ‘collection only’ item you are in effect paying a deposit for your goods. In most instances you can choose to collect your item from our shop in Buckhurst Hill or if It’s a firearm from a 3rd party gun dealer. The latter may be at an additional cost to yourself.
The Goods in question must be returned to us unopened within 10 days of your cancellation notice and must be received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you, unopened and sealed in their original packaging in a condition suitable for re-sale. Unless the Goods are faulty. We shall be entitled to recover any direct costs of having to recover the Goods from you and may set such costs off against the amount to be refunded to you.
All returned goods should carry a copy of the original invoice and a brief note saying why the goods are being returned. The goods should be packaged to a satisfactory standard in a safe and relevant manner. Certain products on our website are only available to customers aged 18 and over, and it is illegal to sell these items to persons under 18 using online sales. For example, shotguns, rifles, air pistols, air rifles, air gun pellets, bows, arrows, slingshots, crossbows, crossbow bolts, knives, cleaning solvents, CO2 capsules, CO2 bottles and aerosols etc, these items and many more are age restricted and some may need a licence to be purchased.
It is our duty and responsibility as a retailer to take positive steps to ensure that we do not sell age restricted products online to people under the legal age of purchase. We have decided that some items will only be sold on a one to one basis at the counter in our retail store whereupon actual photo ID showing age, address and relevant licences must be produced before purchase.
